Frequently asked questions
Everything hosts and guests tend to ask — how Gifted works, contributing, payouts, and keeping payments safe.
I was invited — where's my link?
The host would have texted you a link, or shared it in a group chat. Tap that link to RSVP and contribute — there's nothing to sign up for here.
Do I have to contribute to RSVP?
No. RSVP and contributing are separate — skipping the contribution never changes your reply.
Can I give any amount?
It depends on how the host set up the party. They can preset an amount (common for "fiver or tenner" parties), or let you contribute any amount up to $100. Either way, the host sees who contributed, never how much.
Can I still bring a present?
Of course. Contributing is the easy option, never the rule — most guests bring a handmade card too.
Will other guests or the host see my contribution?
No. Neither the host nor other guests can see how much you contributed — everyone only ever sees the total amount raised.
What if the party is cancelled?
If a host cancels and elects to refund your contribution, it's refunded automatically to the card you used — funds typically land within 5–10 business days. You don't need to do anything. If they don't elect to refund and you'd like your money back, contact the host directly.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe, a global payments provider. Gifted never sees or stores your full card details.
Something went wrong — how do I reach a human?
In your invite, tap "Get help" at the bottom and complete the form. You can also reply to any text we've sent, or email hello@gifted.party. We typically respond within 24 hours.
